We have repaired hundreds of Bibles over the years from small, personal-sized Bibles to large family and pulpit Bibles. We have done repairs on children's book, cookbooks, instruction manuals and any other type of book you can think of.
We can make new covers for old books in cloth, leather, hardcover, or flexible covers.
We cannot give you a price for repair and rebinding work until we can see the book IN PERSON (photos are not adequate). For a price quote on repair and rebinding work, you need to mail us your book at the address below. Pack it securely, insure it, and include your contact information with it (phone number & e-mail address) so that we can contact you to discuss the repair.
Repairs usually cost a minimum of $45. They can cost over $300 at the high end.
Once we receive your book, repairs are usually completed in a maximum of 4 weeks.
Occasionally we reject a book for repair. Sometimes they are just too far gone for us to work on. Extremely rotten or acidic paper is the most common reason.
Here are some photos of an interesting and TINY book repair job. These miniature books arrived already-sewn, but without covers. We created leather softcovers for them stamped with gold foil. Click on the "Boxes" link to the left to see photos of the clamshell box we made to house these tiny books.

Anatomy of a spine repair
This cover arrived in 3 pieces (many old covers break apart at the hinges between the front & back covers and the spine). This requires that we lay in a new spine.
Another "before" image of this book. You can see the original printed endpapers on the right that appear inside the front cover.
The completely, intact cover with new spine material laid into the old front & back covers. New red cloth was glued under the edge of the old cloth on the front and back cover.
The repaired printed endpaper was bridged in the center with a new strip of paper color copied on acid free paper to match the old printed pages.
A view of the complete repaired spine. In this case, the old cloth spine could be glued over the new material. If this is not possible, the new spine is stamped with gold lettering and decoration to mimic the old spine as closely as possible.
